Linear inequalities in one variable
An inequality is like an equation, but it uses greater than or less than instead of equals. On the Digital SAT Math section it often appears in questions like "What is the most items you can buy?" or "What is the fewest questions you must get right?"
This lesson shows how to solve linear inequalities step by step, including the mistake many students make: you must flip the sign when you multiply or divide by a negative number. Then you practice turning word problems into inequalities. There are animated pictures, a quiz after each part and practice questions.
