Exponential functions
An exponential function changes by multiplying by the same number each time, like money earning compound interest or a population growing 5% every year. The Digital SAT Math section asks about this in real situations.
This lesson starts with exponential growth and decay and what each number in y = a(b)^x means. Then you practice using the model in word problems. A quiz after each part and practice questions use growth and decay stories. Examples use simple numbers like money in a savings account or a growing school club.
