Radical, rational and absolute value equations

Equations with square roots, fractions with x in them, or absolute value look harder than normal equations. The Digital SAT Math section often uses them because of a trap: some answers you find do not work.

This lesson solves radical and rational equations step by step and shows why you always check your answers, since some do not work when you put them back. Then it covers absolute value equations, which often have two answers. Quizzes and practice questions train you to check every answer. Every answer is explained in plain words, step by step, with the check shown at the end.
