One-variable data
One-variable data is a single list of numbers, like the test scores of one class. The Digital SAT Math section asks about the mean, median and mode, and how spread out the data is. A graph or table often comes with the question.
This lesson starts with mean, median and mode, then looks at spread and how to read common data displays. You also see how one extreme value can pull the mean away from the median. Animated pictures and a quiz after each part make the graphs easy to read.
