Exponents and radicals

Exponents and radicals are part of the Advanced Math questions on the Digital SAT Math section. You use them to make expressions simpler, like combining powers of x or turning a root into an exponent.

This lesson teaches the exponent rules one at a time, including why you add powers when you multiply and subtract them when you divide. Then it covers radicals and fractional exponents. Each part has a quiz, so you can check every rule before moving on. Simple numbers come first, so the rules feel easy before the harder questions arrive.
